Tender Details
This specification covers the civil works including but not limited to excavation and reinstatement around buried high voltage power cables mainly within the Sydney Metropolitan Area and any other sites as required by the Principal. This specification also covers the testing and GPS logging of dig sites. The work shall be on the basis of “as and when required” for a period of two years from the date of order. An option for an additional two years by agreement with the Principal is also available under this contract.

• Tenders must be for the whole of the works specified and include the performance of all obligations set out in the Specification. Tenders for only part of the work will not be considered. The tender price submitted must be FIRM (i.e. not subject to adjustment for variations in cost) for the period of the contract.
• Only Tenderers who can demonstrate relevant and satisfactory work experience related to “High Voltage Underground Power Cable installations” within the last five years will be considered. (For the purpose of this specification, experience needs to be on 132kV minimum and above, and should include work around fluid filled and XLPE cables). This is both in terms of company and resource expertise. Information on experience needs to be provided for evaluation purposes.
• All tenderers need to have a WHS management system accredited by the Principal. Should this not be the case at submission of tender, the tenderer shall submit adequate documentation of the WHS management system in place for assessment by the Principal with their tender. Information on the accreditation process and assessment criteria can be obtained through the tender technical representative. Tenderers shall note that if the accreditation details are not received within a reasonable time frame, their tenders might not be considered for further evaluation.
• Provision of evidence to support the Tenderer’s ability to prepare and manage site specific Work Health and Safety Management Plans, Construction Environmental Management Plans and Traffic Management Plans for similar works. A sample of each of these documents shall be provided with tenders for evaluation.
