WSROC / Reserve 882 - Design and construction of the recreational facilities and stormwater management - EOI C23/2021

The scope of works proposed at Reserve 882 comprise the construction of four sporting fields, amenities buildings, play and leisure recreation areas, carparking, wetland and bioretention systems treating stormwater from the surrounding catchment, riparian naturalisation and rehabilitation of South Creek. Landscape works associated with the proposed construction will include mounding, native garden bed planting, tree planting, creation of paths, and provision of park furniture. The existing ground profile and the alignment of the nearby creek will be modified to accommodate the sporting pitches, facilities and stormwater treatment structures throughout the site.

A detailed list of the works scope includes:

• Design development to approved for construction design
• Cut and fill works to create a series of wetlands and bioretention basins
• New playing fields inclusive of the installation of irrigation and field lighting
• New stormwater detention and water treatment management system
• New sewer and water connections
• New hardstand pavement, railings, furniture, fittings and lighting
• Bushland regeneration and tree/ecological planting soil decontamination, water/saline/erosion and sediment control management
• Traffic and pedestrian management
• Aboriginal heritage management
• 2.6km of formal ped/cycle pathway
• 2,500 sq m of new playground with shelters, swings and benches
• 4,800 sq m of carparking areas
