Blue Mountains City Council is seeking the services of a suitably qualified consultant to progress the Civic Centre & Laneway Connections of the proposed Blue Mountains Cultural Centre project into the physical delivery phase by appointing a Principal Consultant who will undertake the design and documentation of the Civic Centre connection and revitalisation, Froma Lane connection and Carrington connection from Katoomba Street to the Blue Mountains Cultural Centre.
This Request for Tender (RFT) document will form the framework for the engagement of the Principal Consultant who will carry this part of the project through to completion.
The Blue Mountains Local Government Area (LGA) is made up of a number of communities stretching from the foothills of the mountains in the east to the plains in the west. The new Blue Mountains Cultural Centre will provide a creative heart for the City as a focal point for the arts, providing connections to citywide cultural experiences and opportunities. It will also provide access for visitors to the Blue Mountains distinctive environment and to its rich cultural heritage. It will actively promote the synergies between economics, culture and the environment, and promote creative cultural partnerships across the LGA.
