Infrastructure NSW is inviting Recipients from the pre-qualified contractors under the SCM100002-Procurement List for Construction Services valued over $9 million to undertake the Main Works for the revitalisation of Powerhouse Ultimo. The Main Works will be delivered under a Design and Construct contract.

Tenders are invited from construction entities only. The designers for the work have been procured separately by Infrastructure NSW and will be novated to the successful Main Works Contractor.

The scope for the Main Works includes, but is not limited to:

  • New museum entrance and public domain oriented towards the Goods Line and the City;
  • Revitalisation works to heritage listed buildings;
  • Removal of internal mezzanines and renewal of existing exhibition spaces;
  • Introducing new green spaces (internal courtyard, public domain, switch house rooftop terrace, creative courtyard);
  • Activating Harris St with a new building housing program spaces and creative industry studios; and
  • New below ground loading dock and back of house space with entrance from MacArthur St.

The Call for EOI process will be managed via the Data Room. To participate in the process, Recipients must:

  • Be pre-qualified contractors under the SCM100002 - Procurement List for Construction Services valued over $9 million and qualified for work over $150 million;
  • Complete, sign and return the Confidentiality Deed Poll; and
  • Complete, sign and return the Data Room Representatives Form.

INSW is offering an optional Site Walk on 3 and 4 June 2024, for all interested Recipients. INSW may require evidence that a Recipient is capable of satisfying the Minimum Requirements prior to attending a Site Walk. In order to attend a Site walk, Recipients are required to nominate a preferred date (3 or 4 June) with the Contract Officer before 30 May and return a signed Site Indemnity Form prior to attending a Site Walk.

INSW is offering an optional EOI briefing on 5 June 2024 for all interested Recipients. INSW may require evidence that a Recipient is capable of satisfying the Minimum Requirements prior to attending the briefing. To attend the EOI briefing, Recipients must register via the Data Room two business days before the event.

All Respondents must comply with the NSW Government Procurement Policy Framework (NSW Framework), Supplier Code of Conduct (NSW Code) and NSW Industrial Relations Guidelines: Building and Construction Procurement (NSW Guidelines).
