Tender Details

Sydney Water provides water and wastewater services to customers located in its area of operations covering Sydney, the Blue Mountains and the Illawarra.  Sydney Water undertakes a range of maintenance and upgrades on its water and wastewater infrastructure assets. Sydney Water is inviting tenders to establish a panel of contracted suppliers for the Supply of Chemical Dosing Units, Re-Chlorination Plants, Chemical Dosing Kiosks and Renewal Works.

An open market request for tenders (RFT) will be issued by Sydney Water in the next three weeks for the Supply of Chemical Dosing Units, Re-Chlorination Plants, Chemical Dosing Kiosks and Renewal Works.

The RFT is for Shared Purchasing under the Partnering for Success (P4S) delivery model being established by Sydney Water. Under the P4S model there are three regional delivery consortia (RDC) to deliver design, construction, and maintenance services respectively across the three geographical regions (North, South and West) within Sydney Water’s area of operations.

The successful tenderers will be required to enter into contracts with Sydney Water and the three RDC for delivery of the scope over the term of the contracts.

Sydney Water’s objective is to establish a panel of suitable contractors to deliver the forward program over the next five years.

Open Tenders - An invitation to tender by public advertisement with no restriction placed on who may tender. Tenderers will normally be required to demonstrate in their tender that they have the necessary skills, resources, experience, financial capacity, and in some cases licences, accreditations, etc., to fulfil the tender requirements.

Tender activities are conducted using the Ariba system. Interested suppliers must complete the self-registration request in Ariba via this link. https://www.sydneywater.com.au/SW/about-us/our-suppliers/supplier-registration/index.htm. Completing registration does not immediately grant a supplier access to the tender.

Once a supplier has initiated the self-registration request, they must notify the owner of this event by e-mail.

Sydney Water operates pre-qualification processes and only invites successful participants through to participation in tender activities. To be considered for participation, you must complete a pre-qualification process prior to the commencement of a tender.

Conditions for Participation

We do not utilise the ‘Tenderbox’ functionality of the eTendering website.

The contact person operating this event is only contactable via e-mail for audit trail purposes- no phone calls will be accepted.

There may be a requirement to complete a separate safety prequalification check, either during the tender or post-award. These checks are conducted via a third party system (Beakon) and the supplier may bear costs payable to the third party for this service.

Also, you must submit a detail proposal addressing the minimum criteria given below. Your proposal must be emailed to the contact person by Monday, 12th April 2021. Late submissions cannot be considered to proceed.

• Safety certification (evidence required)

  • AS4801/AS/NZS/ISO45001; OR
  • NSW government WHS management system and auditing guidelines - 6th Edition; OR
  • Office of Federal Safety Commission (OFSC accreditation)

 

• Existing ability to provide technical and post tender service in NSW for Chemical Dosing Units, Re-Chlorination Plants, Chemical Dosing Kiosks in an effective and timely manner

 

• Management Systems in place for safety, quality and environment

 

• Preparedness to disclose financial details for Sydney water to make an assessment of the financial standing of the supplier.
