Tender Details

The NSW Department of Primary Industries (DPI), a division within Regional NSW, manages the NSW Shark Meshing Program (SMP). The program is a public safety measure introduced in 1937 to reduce the chances of a shark-human interaction at ocean beaches. 

This document invites suppliers to provide a response to own, operate and maintain bather safety meshing nets (hereinafter referred to as mesh nets) of the NSW Shark Meshing Program (SMP) at specific ocean beaches between Newcastle and Wollongong from 1 September 2021 - 30 April 2022.

The contractor must supply their own mesh nets, crew, vehicle, vessels (appropriately certified by the Australian Maritime Safety Authority and meet all requirements of the Marine Safety (Domestic Commercial Vessel) National Law Act 2012 and its Regulations) and crew to complete the Services.
