Tender Details

The contract’s primary purpose is to service the Parklands’ amenities, amenity turf, gardens, sports grounds, structures, toilets, playgrounds, roadways, accessways, walkways, plumbing and electrical services associated with the park assets across Parramatta Park, Western Sydney Parklands and Fernhill Estate, for the enjoyment of park visitors.

Parramatta Park is one of Australia’s oldest public parks. It is an important community asset that provides a wide range of active and passive recreational activities for over 2.1 million visitors each year. 

Western Sydney Parklands (WSP) is situated in the heart of Western Sydney. The WSP cover 5,280 hectares and stretch 27 kilometres from Quakers Hill in the north to Leppington in the south. The WSP contain popular picnic and recreation areas, world class sporting facilities, major tourism destinations, urban farming lots, over 50 kilometres of walking and cycling paths and 1,000 hectares of native bushland. 

Fernhill Estate is a 423-hectare estate located in Mulgoa Valley, approximately 10 kilometres south-west of Penrith in Western Sydney. The Estate is on Darug country close to Gundungurra Country, at the edge of the Cumberland Plain. 

The services will require complete maintenance and operations service for all aspects of the parklands, as per the contract specifications which includes, but is not limited to:   

  • Preparation and implementation of scheduled maintenance programs.
  • Turf and grassland mowing, including bushfire Asset Protection Zones’s.
  • Garden and landscape maintenance.
  • General Building and facility cleaning (including external of toilets).
  • Graffiti removal.
  • Irrigation systems operation and maintenance.
  • BBQ maintenance gas and electric.
  • Structures and furniture maintenance.
  • Electrical Schedule maintenance.
  • Building maintenance minor repairs.
  • Plumbing and Drainage scheduled maintenance.
  • Waste and litter collection.
  • Sweeping of paths (in conjunction with paving inspections) and roads (on an as needs basis) located within the park.
  • Paths and accessway’s scheduled maintenance.
  • Playground maintenance
