Tender Details
Badu Gili – meaning ‘water light’ in the language of the site’s Traditional Owners, the Gadigal people – explores ancient stories in a spectacular six to seven-minute animation, projected nightly onto the Sydney Opera House Bennelong Sails. Launched in 2017, there have been four iterations of Badu Gili, celebrating the rich history and vibrancy of Australia’s First Nations culture.
In 2023, SOHT partnered with Biennale of Sydney Pty Ltd (BoS) and Cartier Art SA (Cartier) to deliver yearly Badu Gili content until 2026, featuring both Australian and international First Nations artists. Working closely with SOHT, BoS and Cartier, a Creative Agency is being sought to deliver the animated projection content and accompanying sound used for the nightly lighting of the Bennelong Sails from 2024 and up to 2026 – a total of up to three iterations.
