The System Integrator will work with TfNSW in defining, developing, implementing and bringing Digital Systems into service, so that TfNSW is able to achieve the Program objectives.
The initial scope will be structured in two phases:
- System Definition which includes refining the system definition of the System, supporting TfNSW in procuring contractors for each Subsystem Package, and establishing project management, systems engineering and system assurance processes.
- System Implementation which includes the development, design, manufacture, installation, testing, commissioning operational and business readiness activities, to implement the Digital Systems in Deployment Stage 1. This phase will also include the development and implementation of the TMS / Conventional Solution across the Network.
TfNSW is implementing a two-stage procurement process for the selection of the System Integrator for the Program. The two stages are:
- Stage 1 –this stage includes an open invitation for interested organisations to provide submissions demonstrating their experience and capability to provide the System Integrator services. Stage 1 is planned to culminate in the selection of up to 4 suitable respondents (Shortlisted Respondents) to participate in Stage 2 of the procurement process;
- Stage 2 – in this stage the Shortlisted Respondents (from Stage 1) are requested to prepare and submit proposals for the delivery of the System Integrator services. Stage 2 is planned to culminate in the award of a contract for the System Integrator services.
