Expression Of Interest to identify suppliers that meet Sydney Water’s mandatory requirements for the Supply of Cranes and Lifting Equipment Inspection & Maintenance Services used across Sydney Water plants are requested. Those suppliers meeting the mandatory requirements will be invited to participate in Tender for the provision of Supply of Cranes and Lifting Equipment Inspection & Maintenance Services. Lifting Equipment type includes:

  • Overhead travel (OHT) gantry / bridge cranes
  • Monorail beam cranes (MRB)
  • Post jib cranes (PJC)
  • Davits and winches
  • Mobile jib hoists
  • Lifting frames and beams
  • Chain blocks
  • Ropes and slings
  • Lifting anchorages
  • Fall restraint anchorages and lanyard attachment lines and any other lifting asset that requires statutory compliances

The scope includes, but not limited to:

Separable Portion 1: Inspection Services

Separable Portion 2: Maintenance Services 

Separable Portion 3: Supply of New cranes and lifting equipment

Suppliers can tender for Separable Portion 1 or Separable Portion 2 or Separable Portion 3 or all portions together.

Expression of Interest for Specific Contracts - An invitation for Expression of Interest (EOI) for pre-registration of prospective tenderers for a specific work or service. Applicants are initially evaluated against published selection criteria, and those who best meet the required criteria are invited to Tender (as tender type Pre-Qualified/Invited).

Suppliers complete a questionnaire of your creation (e.g. via MS Forms) with an advertised link to complete. This information is used to determine if the supplier appears to initially meet requirements and would be worth considering for participation in a sourcing event. Tender activities are conducted using the Ariba system. Interested suppliers must agree to use the Ariba Network (basic account is free) and complete the “self-registration” in Ariba via this link:

Completing self-registration does not immediately grant a supplier access to the tender, nor does it automatically make you a supplier to Sydney Water. If the supplier is an existing Ariba Network user, it is still required to register to access the Sydney Water ‘portal’. This link will be provided if the supplier has been invited to participate. For compliance reasons, all tender documents will be shared in Ariba once the interested supplier has been invited to participate in the tender.

Conditions for Participation

If selected to participate in this sourcing event tenderers must meet the following requirements:

• Ariba registration, if required.

• Minimum Work, Health, Safety criteria: ISO45001; OR NSW government WHS management system and auditing guidelines - 6th Edition; OR Office of Federal Safety Commission (OFSC accreditation);AND Safety Pre-qualification Assessment.

• Compliance with Certification to ISO 9001:2000

• Tenderer registered as specialist service provider in lifting assets inspection and maintenance must comply to AS 2550 series, specifically AS 2550.1 & AS 2550.3; and

• Tenderer must have proven track record of at least last 3 years in NSW inspecting and servicing the Lifting Equipment types:

  • Overhead travel (OHT) gantry / bridge cranes

  • Post jib cranes (PJC)
  • Davits and winches
  • Mobile jib hoists
  • Lifting frames and beams
