Broken Hill Emergency Exit Lighting & Smoke detection Upgrade - 0900586

The intent of this tender is to bring the fire safety compliance of the whole building in line with current building codes and shall consist of new equipment and materials, first class trades workmanship in compliance with the EP & A Act and Regulations (NSW), BCA, Australian Standards, OH&S Regulations and Development Consent.

Requirement.
FIP -BCA (2007) E2.2a AS1670-2004
Emergency and Exit lighting BCA E4.2+E4.4 + E4.5, 6 and 8 AS/NZS2293.1+3-2005
Installation of EWIS system AS1670.1 – 2004 – OPTION 

Provision of a Main Fire Indication Panel located in the designated fire control area.
Individually Addressable Detectors shall be required.
Existing lighting does not provide adequate coverage to

·         BCA E4.2+E4.4 AS/NZ2293.1-1995

·         OH&SR2001

Contractors are to design and install Emergency and Exit lighting to these requirements, complete a 90 minute discharge test, record in log book adjacent FFCP.

Tenanted areas of the building are included in these works. Contractors are to provide a single test point station for emergency lighting in each floor secured internally of the electrical riser.

OPTIONAL EWIS

Design and install certified EWIS system in conjunction with FIP. System is to be verified and certified for audible compliance in accordance with AS1670.1. EWIS system is to be a separate unit to the FIP.

In addition: schematic drawings and plan drawings shall be provided as ‘for construction’.
