Tender Details
The Powerhouse seeks to appoint an Interior Architect to collaborate with the Architectural team to design the interior of the Lang Walker Academy and associated learning spaces for Powerhouse Parramatta.
The successful Interior Architect will be engaged to develop and deliver a concept design in response to creative, functional, and operational briefs developed by the Powerhouse in collaboration with Moreau Kusunoki and Genton (MKG), Infrastructure NSW and construction partner Lendlease.
A key feature of the Powerhouse Parramatta design and program is the Lang Walker Academy, which will provide onsite accommodation for student groups of 56 accompanied by 5 teachers/carers. The Academy enables the Powerhouse to host students from Greater Sydney, regional NSW, interstate and abroad to participate in immersive STEM based learning programs.
Located in the East Building, the Academy occupies a vertical strip, adjacent to Presentation Space 1, across three levels. It has a direct connection to Education and Community Spaces located on upper levels, the Powerhouse Cinema and the Rooftop Garden and Pavilion. In addition to the spaces in the Eastern Building, Academy residents will participate in programs that utilise the Education Spaces and the Vitocco Family Kitchen located on Level 4 of the Western Building.
