The purpose of Procurement at Sydney Water is to get the goods, services and facilities it needs, when it needs them and for the right cost. Under the Sydney Water operating license and agreements with NSW Health, Sydney Water is required to monitor its water quality for the detection of certain disease-causing bacteria and parasites such as
1.total coliforms
2.Escherichia coli
3.Cryptosporidium and
4.Giardia
Additionally, Sydney Water’s Laboratory Services also use these products when conducting routine and ad-hoc operational monitoring i.e. chlorination of new mains, customer complaints and ad-hoc projects.
This tender is for the supply of water testing kits as detailed below:
•test kits for detection and quantification of E. coli and total coliform bacteria in various water matrices
•products used for Cryptosporidium and Giardia testing by Immunomagnetic separation technique
•items required for automated field sampling and testing Cryptosporidium and Giardia.
Tenderer must supply the products on a Standing Order or “as required” basis as ordered with a guaranteed delivery service to sites within Sydney Water’s operating area and within agreed time parameters.

To express your interest in participating in this event please complete the EOI survey via link below to address your capability to satisfy the minimum criteria given below:
•Certified Quality Management System in place (ISO 9000 / 9001)
•E.coli and total coliform test kits according to ISO 9308-2
•Established systems for work health and safety to support manufacture and delivery of required products
•Existing capability to supply products for the testing and analysis of total coliforms, E. coli and Cryptosporidium & Giardia
•Appropriate licences and authorisation for distributing the relevant products in Australia
Conditions for Participation
If selected to participate in this sourcing event, Tenderers must have completed registration in Ariba.
Evidence of a safety system (policies and procedures) that meets Sydney Water’s Tier 3 WHS requirements
Maintain appropriate facilities and levels of human and financial resources during the term of the Contract
Employ sound risk management practices covering:
i.selection and warranty of products for their suitability to generally accepted use
ii.safety and environmental hazards posed by products and services supplied, particularly within the scope of their intended use
iii.continuity of supply and customer needs
iv.security of supply arrangements and facilities and control of the supply chain
v.security of information/records, including validation, protection from loss, interference, unauthorised access, detection of errors and fraudulent activity.
