Tender Details
The Department State and Regional Development (DSRD) delivers programs and services that support the NSW Government’s commitment to winning new business activity for NSW, and developing the capacity and productivity of the State’s economy.
The Enterprise, Small Business and Regional Development Division works with business to strengthen the State’s global competitiveness, promote investment and job creation and build business capability.
The Division provides a range of special services and programs for small businesses, from start-ups to export-ready.
Innovation plays an important role in business success. New products, services and processes can contribute to new businesses; growth of existing businesses; and to greater efficiency and profits.
DSRD invites organisations based in NSW to submit a tender proposal to deliver the Innovation Advisory Services (IAS) across NSW.
The objective of the IAS is to provide objective technical/commercial assessments of the innovators’ ideas and assist individual and small business innovators to progress their ideas in the early stages of commercialisation.
The range of IAS includes providing practical advice on the processes required to commercialise innovations/inventions; advice on intellectual property protection; enhancement of the technical feasibility of the ideas and referral to other relevant information and service providers.
Ultimately, this should reduce small business failure during the early years of business and maximise the economic benefits generated from inventors/innovators.
This Request For Tender represents the first step towards a more cost-effective centralised delivery of IAS services across NSW. This would allow for the adoption of a flexible model (e.g. telephone, on-line, virtual, web, face-to-face, group).
