Tender Details
This Request For Tender covers the drilling of thirty cored drillholes, at the discretion of the Department of Primary Industries Superintendent, up to a combined approximate total of 1000 metres of non core drilling and 3500 metres of core drilling, at locations in the Gunnedah Basin. A map of the drilling area can be provided on request. The Superintendent shall determine the location of the drillholes and the precise depth to which the holes shall be drilled.
Each drillhole will have a minimum depth of 50 metres and a maximum depth of 600 metres. Each drillhole will require approximately 10 to 150 metres of non core drilling, followed by approximately 10 to 450 metres of core drilling.
The types of strata expected to be intersected comprise alluvium, sandstone, conglomerate, siltstone, claystone, coal seams and possibly some igneous intrusives.
Drilling operations are to be commenced as soon as possible and completed within 5 months after the commencement of drilling. Drilling operations should preferably be completed before 30 June 2009.
