Balmain Shipyard is an integral hub for Sydney Ferries in providing maintenance and fuelling for its fleet of vessels.
Sydney Ferries is seeking offers from interested and suitably experienced organisations to undertake refurbishment and upgrade works to various buildings and facilities at the Balmain Shipyard, including staff shower and locker areas; offices, training facilities and records storage facilities.
As well as refurbishment works, some structural remediation works and upgrades to plumbing infrastructure are also required.
The objective is to improve facilities and infrastructure by updating the site to create a modern, professional and safe working environment.

Pre-Tender Briefing and Site Visit: Tuesday 25 November 2008, commencing at 12.30pm at Balmain Shipyard, 72 Waterview Street, Balmain.
All visitors to Balmain Shipyard must undertake a brief Site Induction prior to entering the Site. Tenderers must RSVP the Contact Officer, Paul Horley via e-mail (tenders@sydneyferries.nsw.gov.au) no later than 12noon Friday, 21 November 2008. (Please note: No more than 2 people per organisation to attend Pre-Tender Briefing and Site Visit).
