Tender Details
In March 2007, the Premier of NSW the Hon Morris Iemma MP announced a $23 million investment over the next 3 years for the state-wide introduction of digital mammography systems and a standardise information management system for BreastScreen NSW.
The major drivers for this project are the need for: A common system with standardised management of BreastScreen NSW's core business, administrative and information reporting requirements;
Full support for BreastScreen's operational processes, with improved quality assurance for all aspects of the screening and assessment pathways;
Improved data collection, data quality and reporting across BreastScreen NSW;
Improved interoperability with other Health Systems, including a digital mammography system; and
A functionally complete system that is easily supportable and minimises costly maintenance, while providing stability and allowing configuration in line with changes within Cancer Institute NSW.
Concurrent with the BreastScreen Information System project will be the installation of digital mammography systems and picture archive & communications system(s) (PACS), to provide an integrated BIS / PACS / Digital Mammography solution for BreastScreen NSW.
Submissions are invited from suitably experienced organisations interested to provide Project Director State-wide BreastScreen Information System / Digital Mammography Solution (BIS Project Director) services to the Cancer Institute NSW during the 3 year scoping, planning and execution of the State-wide BreastScreen Information System/Digital Mammography solution.
