The Murrumbidgee Irrigation (MI) and Coleambally Irrigation Cooperative Limited (CICL) Land & Water Management Plans (LWMPs) aims to use increased profitability as a driver for wide scale changes in landscape management by providing land managers with the skills, knowledge and motivation to analyse opportunities and limitations at paddock and farm scale to deliver productivity and NRM gains.
Activities within the project include training and incentive funding to implement best management practices to increase water use efficiency and improve irrigation design as well as fencing and revegetation to protect and enhance biodiversity.
