Supply of 150 Articulated Buses - STA 2008/03

Tenderers are invited for the supply of 150 articulated air-conditioned, low floor wheelchair accessible buses that meet the operational, performance, quality, environmental, corrosion protection and aesthetic requirements specified in the Invitation to Tender. Special attention must be given to passenger comfort and safety, specifically in the areas of handrail layout, seat design, seat layout and passenger access The successful tenderer will be responsible for the detailed design, manufacture, testing, obtaining of Approvals, certification and delivery of the complete Buses including chassis, body and all ancillary equipment and all associated services and documentation as required by the Contract The Buses may be powered by diesel or compressed natural gas ("CNG"). Other alternative fuels may be utilised provided that the financial, safety, performance and operational requirements of State Transit are met
