The ASN building is a building of State Significance and is registered on the State Heritage Register.The entire building and all original surfaces and elements are of high heritage significance.

The Works under the Contract involves the base building works to bays 2-4 on level 4 of the ASN Building on 1-5 Hickson Road, The Rocks. The Works in general involve

* Demolition of existing fit-out.
* Retention of part of existing wet areas enclosure and plumbing layouts.
* New floor coverings and under flooring system.
* New timber stud framed walls.
* New timber joist framing for suspended platform.
* New steel stair access to lift motor room.
* New handrails and balustrades to raised service access areas.
* New wet areas fitout.
* New kitchen fitout.
* New glass screens.
* New electrical services fitout.
* Fire services verification and upgrade of existing services.
* Paint finish to existing timber window and door joinery, previously rendered or painted wall areas and new works.
