Field Mapping - Software Implementation Package - RFS-RFQ 2023-067

The purpose of the Field Mapping Solution project is to procure, implement and integrate a service-wide spatial mapping application to streamline field data collection in operational and non-operational settings. The solution should improve information sharing between Volunteers, Incident Management Teams (IMTs), RFS HQ and operational decision-makers, as well as assisting in preparedness and hazard reduction activities. The solution must be able to handle concurrent access by several thousand users and during periods of elevated operational activity (e.g. fire season, state-wide emergency response). The field mapping application will initially be released to RFS users as a stand-alone tool, with no integration to RFS systems. In the later stages of the project, the application will be configured so that it can be integrated with RFS’ existing and planned operational systems, enabling two-way exchange of spatial mapping information between members in the field and IMTs, RFS HQ, and operational decision-makers. The purpose of this Statement of Work (SOW) is to engage a Supplier to configure and implement the stand-alone field mapping application, in collaboration with the RFS and an integration partner
