Design and Construciton of the Underpass, Bankstown - EOI 05-10

The purpose of this Request for Expression of Interest is to select from the submissions up to four preferred Respondents to be invited to submit tenders for the detailed design and construction of the intersection upgrade and underpass renewal between North Terrace and South Terrace Bankstown. Tendering will be in accordance with the Local Government (Tendering) Regulation. Tendering of the Works by preselected Respondents is expected in May 2010 with project completion by the end of 2010.

Request for Proposals - An invitation for expressions of interest / seeking preliminary proposals. In many cases these may be used as a basis for shortlisting tenderers, along with other criteria such as expertise and experience. Prospective tenderers are initially evaluated for their proposal against the relevant selection criteria. A number of those who best meet the criteria are invited to tender. For complex or some other types of procurement, where the product or service outcomes are highly dependent on the content of the proposals received from Tenderers, the outcome may be negotiated.

Council will conduct a Site Meeting to provide potential respondents with an opportunity to ask Council questions and clarify issues. The Site Meeting will be held on Thursday 12 November 2009, 10:00 am, assembling at intrerseciton South Terrace & The Underpass, Bankstown.
