Contact Harvesting and Haulage Softwood Plantations Macquarie Region, Central NSW, Monaro Region, Southern NSW - Call for Invitation to Tender - DPI/FNSW0816A

Forests NSW is calling for Invitation to Tender (‘ITT’) from suitably qualified contractors with a minimum of three years experience in contracting involving the management and operation of Timber Harvesting or Haulage (forest or general haulage) to undertake the following:

·        Parcel 1. Macquarie Region - Harvesting,

Harvesting of 150,000 tonnes per annum of log products from plantations in State Forests located in the Macquarie Region (Bathurst / Oberon / Lithgow / Orange).  The work will be from First Thinning, Delayed First Thinning and Unthinned Clearfall operations.

·        Parcel 2. Monaro Region - Harvesting,

Harvesting of 80,000 tonnes per annum of log products from plantations in State Forests located in the Monaro Region (Bombala).  The work will be from First Thinning, Delayed First Thinning and Unthinned Clearfall operations.

·        Parcel 3. Monaro Region - Haulage,

Loading and Haulage of up to 120,000 tonnes per annum of log products in State Forests located in the Monaro Region (Bombala / Tallaganda / Moss Vale).  The delivery destination for this work will be Visy Pulp and Paper in Tumut.  The log Haulage and associated Loading will be from operations specified in Parcel 2 and other Forest NSW delivered sale operations within Monaro Region. 

Multiple contracts may be awarded for each Parcel.  Proposals for all or part of the volumes on offer by suitably qualified contractors will be considered.
