The Authority is responsible for the management and renewal of leases over properties of state significance such as The Rocks.
Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority has been approached by a number of lessees in The Rocks requesting to renegotiate their existing leases. In response to these requests, the Authority has developed a policy for any lease renegotiations through one to one negotiations with existing lessees.
All Lease renegotiations will be conducted by the Authority’s Chief Executive Officer or a nominated delegate.
Renegotiated leases exceeding five years will be subject to approval by the Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority Board and the NSW Minister for Planning.
Due to the high profile nature and scale of these lease negotiations, this will require highly experienced and skilled leasing professionals. The scope of work will require people capable of undertaking a diverse range of leasing activities in representing the Authority’s interests through the project lifecycle. This process will cease to have effect on 30 September 2010.
