The desired outcomes and preferred supplier requirements set out below reflect the importance of ensuring that food and beverage services provided at the Opera House live up to the promise of the building.
Desired outcomes
- To have a range of experienced outdoor and festival style operators available to ensure customer demand for food and beverage can be met during periods of increased activity on the forecourt;
- To offer a wide variety of quick-service, high quality food and beverage at accessible price points while offering smart payment solutions to customers;
- To cater for dietary requirements including vegetarian, gluten free and children's meals;
- To have a range of food and beverage operators with the agility to adapt their offerings and infrastructure to accommodate a large range of customer demographics and numbers
- Commitment to operate within the Opera House's heritage and conservation guidelines, including the Opera House Outdoor Event Guide (included in the Information Package);
- To ensure a welcoming and safe precinct for all visitors that preserves public access and safety egress corridors at all times; and
- To ensure that alcoholic beverages are served in full compliance with all laws at all times.
