Tender Details

The State Property Authority intends to establish a Legal Services Panel to provide legal services.  The services required are legal advisory and representation services which will be provided from time to time on instructions from the Authority.  The Service provider will have substantial experience in providing advice, interpretation, drafting and representation to NSW government agencies in the areas of law including but not limited to property law, commercial law, administrative law, litigation services and other areas of law relevant to the Authority.  The panel will be established by way of a two-stage process.  In Phase 1, the Authority seeks Expressions of Interest for suitably qualified legal practitioners or firms to be short-listed to respond to a Request for Tender for the Services.  This phase has been completed and shortlisted firms are now requested to respond to a Request for Tender (RFT) for the Services, being Phase 2.  The RFT will require short-listed practitioners/firms to tender on the basis of price and address other requirements of the Authority relating to the provision of the Services.  These criteria will be specifically set out in the RFT.  The RFT will attach the relevant agreement for services to be entered into with successful applicants.  Successful applicants appointed to the Panel may be engaged from time to time by the Authority to provide the Services.

RFT Type

Pre-Qualified / Invited - Only those directly invited to tender, may obtain an RFT for the purpose of lodging a tender response. Generally an invitation from a pre-qualified register of approved tenderers who have the ability to undertake the particular work or type of work proposed, a limited number of service providers are known to carry out the work or service (or in emergency or other restricted situations). Tenderers have usually been pre-qualified, accredited, or selected for the type of work and financial range. Competitive bids called from a standing offer (panel / period) contracts would also use this type.
