SELF- MANAGEMENT SUPPORT PROVIDER SERVICES - RFP GGS2020-006

Suitable vendors will demonstrate their experience and model of service delivery to provide the following to icare:

 A person-centred approach where participants are supported to exercise choice and control in the delivery of their supports including flexibility in scheduling to suit their lifestyle and injury needs, selecting their own support workers or service providers or directly employing their own support workers

  Flexibility & responsiveness to participant’s changing needs to ensure that participants and their families are able to access services in a way that maintains their typical patterns of daily living and lifestyle needs within their approved budget of funded supports

 Tailored support to the participants (adults with a range of acquired disabilities including traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, amputation & blindness and dust diseases) to establish and maintain various aspects of their self-management program. This may include assisting participants with:

·      Sourcing appropriate service providers

·        Selecting or recruiting support workers

·        Engaging support workers including contracts or terms of employment

·        Ensuring that support workers are appropriately trained

·        Training support workers in specific needs

·        Financial administration of approved budgets

·        Any other Human Resource management matters

·        Ensuring appropriate insurance coverage

   Payroll services to Participant’s employed support workers. This includes payment of salaries, tax and superannuation.

 Assist participants to manage their budgets, including regular and ongoing reporting to participants on their fund utilisation, in line with icare’s specifications.

  Execution of the payment of participant-directed funded supports on behalf of participants and the consequent invoicing of icare for this expenditure.

Regular reporting of any services provided to assist participants with administration of their self-management programs and invoicing icare for these services

    icare requires self-management support services for people primarily residing in New South Wales, ACT and participants residing in other states of Australia.  Vendors will be expected to indicate how they will provide coverage across Australia.
