New South Wales Coal Exploration Drilling - Panel - DPI09/06

This Request is for Tenders (RFT) to provide NSW DPI with a panel of suitably qualified contractors to provide coal exploration drilling services throughout NSW for the period through to 30 June 2014. It is envisaged that as drilling programs are required during this period, NSW DPI will issue in writing a Request for Quote (RFQ).  

Provision is made for the addition of contractors to the panel until expiry on 30 June 2014.

The drilling services will comprise non-cored and cored drilling and in some instances ground water flow rate testing using air-lift techniques. The number of drill holes for any program may vary from 1 to 70 and the maximum drilling depth will typically be less than 500m.

This RFT also contains a Request for Quote (RFQ) in Section H, for the drilling of approximately 50-60 partly cored boreholes in the Rylstone-Bylong-Ulan region in NSW under the name Western Coalfield-North Project.  The drilling will involve a combined approximate total of 1000 metres of non core drilling and 3500 metres of core drilling.  Each drillhole will have a minimum depth of 50 metres and a maximum depth of 500 metres. Each drillhole will require between 10 – 150 metres of non core drilling, followed by between 10 – 490 metres of core drilling. Drilling operations are to be commenced in August 2009.
