Transport NSW (TfNSW) is seeking Tenders from Service Providers that has the capability to undertake signalling detailed design, construction support and commissioning support on More Trains, More Services 3A Program.
The STAR 2 Project is required to be delivered for the 2024 timetable and the arrival of the New Intercity Fleet (NIF) trains which also promotes the need for network upgrades as a result of the proposed 10 car sets posing an additional length NIF trains running on the South coast and into Central Station.
The STAR2 signalling design involves amendments to the existing hardwired relay interlocking which is deemed complex requiring over 12 months to complete the design packages.
The Service Provider will be required to provide three main key deliverables
o Detailed Design – develop all of the signalling design elements
o Construction Support – provide technical support during design and construction phases of Contractors construction drawings and submissions.
o Commissioning Support – attend strategy and interface prior to commissioning events as well as produce testing and commissioning documentation for all staging and commissioning events.

Tenderers must submit a signed Confidentiality Deed Poll via email to Peter.Lee9@transport.nsw.gov.au, to receive the passcode to open the Tender Documents and meet the minimum requirements below.
1. Tenderer must have the requisite authorised engineering capabilities as outlined in the Authorised Engineering Organisation services matrix provided (whether via the Tendering entity or a proposed subcontractors or any combination thereof).
2.Tenderer has successfully managed signalling detailed design valued at over $1,000,000 on a multi-disciplinary rail infrastructure project valued at over $50,000,000 in the last 5 years
