Jenolan Caves Reserve Trust (JCRT) seeks to undertake refurbishment of an existing walking track around the Blue Lake to revitalise the track that is eroded as a result of recent flood events. The proposed looped track will offer the visitors a new way to engage with the Blue Lake while protecting the wildlife within its surroundings. The remedial works will consist of the following:
Construction of a DDA compliant looped boardwalk around the Blue Lake;
Construction of a pedestrian footbridge;
Landscaping;
Partial de-watering of the Blue Lake to facilitate construction of the boardwalk; and,
Replacement of a scour valve and spindle.
