Tender Details

This Request for Proposals for rail and handling services includes 1 departure point, 2 delivery destinations over 3 years. Departure location is a proponent nominated site close to the Walcha plantation area.  Delivery sites are to be nominated by the proponent to allow efficient road transport for the remaining distance to the end users in Oberon and Tumut/Tumbarumba areas.

Due to the long distances involved, FCNSW are opening proposals up to rail providers. 

If a proposal meets the criteria and provides a value solution to FCNSW award is targeted for 5th May 2021 or earlier with commencement subject to acceptable timelines proposed by the successful proponent with early provision of services favoured.

RFT Type

Request for Proposals - An invitation for expressions of interest / seeking preliminary proposals. In many cases these may be used as a basis for shortlisting tenderers, along with other criteria such as expertise and experience. Prospective tenderers are initially evaluated for their proposal against the relevant selection criteria. A number of those who best meet the criteria are invited to tender. For complex or some other types of procurement, where the product or service outcomes are highly dependent on the content of the proposals received from Tenderers, the outcome may be negotiated.

Proponents that intend to lodge Proposal submissions are required to register through NSW Government eTender website www.tenders.nsw.gov.au . All registered proponents wanting to provide a proposal must also contact the Contact Officer to register their interest.  All questions, clarifications or queries are to be made via the Contact Officer or their nominated proxy.  Any amendments to the process will be provided prior to submissions closing and should be considered as part of any proposals submitted .

 

Should FCNSW select a suitable proposal for award then standard contract terms will be discussed with the proponent. Where suitable terms cannot be agreed upon, FCNSW may choose to reject the previously shortlisted proposal or the proponent may choose to not accept the terms offered.

The work will if awarded is targeted to be by 5th May 2021.

The contract commencement date will be the 1st July 2021 or as agreed between the parties
