Tender Details

Transport NSW (TfNSW) is seeking Tenders from Service Providers that has the capability to undertake signalling detailed design, construction support and commissioning support on More Trains, More Services 3A Program.

The STAR 2 Project is required to be delivered for the 2024 timetable and the arrival of the New Intercity Fleet (NIF) trains which also promotes the need for network upgrades as a result of the proposed 10 car sets posing an additional length NIF trains running on the South coast and into Central Station.

The STAR2 signalling design involves amendments to the existing hardwired relay interlocking which is deemed complex requiring over 12 months to complete the design packages.

The Service Provider will be required to provide three main key deliverables

o Detailed Design – develop all of the signalling design elements

o Construction Support – provide technical support during design and construction phases of Contractors construction drawings and submissions.

o Commissioning Support – attend strategy and interface prior to commissioning events as well as produce testing and commissioning documentation for all staging and commissioning events.
