Scheme Details
The NSW Government Motor Vehicle Pre-qualification Scheme (the Scheme) covers the supply of motor vehicles to the NSW Government and other Eligible Customers (including State Owned Corporations and non-govt agencies e.g. local councils, charities etc). Under the Scheme, providers are approved to supply passenger, light commercial and heavy commercial vehicles. Manufacturers may apply to join the Scheme at any time.
Vendor Instruction
Applicants should read the Scheme Conditions document, complete and upload the motor vehicle price spreadsheet, then answer the online questions. Vehicles requirements:
- Registerable in NSW
- 5 Star ANCAP rating (Clause 37 of Scheme Conditions)
- Within maximum emission limits (Clause 38 of Scheme Conditions)
- 5 year manufacturers warranty
- Below the Luxury Car Tax threshold
If your company is already an approved provider on this Scheme and would like to submit new vehicles for inclusion please email the vehicle details in the spreadsheet to the Scheme Owner.

Motor Vehicle Model Variants and Pricing
Pricing, price discounts and attributes of passenger motor vehicle model variants offered by applicants are required to be completed in the "Passenger Vehicle" excel pricing template and uploaded here.
Pricing, price discounts and attributes of trucks, buses and heavy commercial vehicle model variants offered by applicants are required to be completed in the "Truck, Bus and Heavy Commercial" excel pricing template and uploaded here.
Insurance
The Approved Provider must obtain, and must ensure its Vehicle Dealers obtain, on terms that are reasonably satisfactory to NSWP and thereafter maintain the policies of insurance listed below during the term of the Scheme and during each Customer Contract Term.
Please upload certificates of currency proving that the policies of insurance required under this Scheme, being $10 million for any single occurrence and unlimited in the aggregate as to the number of occurrences, have been affected and are current. A certificate of currency provided under this section must be issued by the insurance company providing insurance and must contain all details reasonably requested by NSWP, including a summary of all risks covered and any exclusions.
Please upload certificates of currency proving that the Workers Compensation policies of insurance, as required by the laws of each relevant State and Territory, required under this Scheme have been affected and are current. A certificate of currency provided under this section must be issued by the insurance company providing insurance and must contain all details reasonably requested by NSWP, including a summary of all risks covered and any exclusions.
