Tender Details

The Sustainable Diversion Limit Adjustment Mechanism (SDLAM) is a way to achieve environmental outcomes for rivers, wetlands and wildlife using less water as part of the Murray-Darling Basin Plan.

In 2017 and in response to the ailing health of the Murray–Darling Basin, the Basin states and Commonwealth Government agreed a package of 36 SDLAM projects across the southern Murray-Darling Basin.

To date, 12 of NSW Government’s SDLAM projects are complete or nearly complete and are delivering Basin Plan outcomes. The water recovered through these projects is already having positive impacts for Basin communities.

The next SDLAM program to be delivered for NSW is the Acceleration Program and includes works and measures as part of the following projects:

• Yanco Modernisation

• Yanga

• Millewa

• Koondrook – Perricoota (KP),

• Mid Murray Anabranches (MMA)

• Locks 8&9

The infrastructure solutions as part of the Acceleration Program varies across each of the five project sites and includes the following:

• Bridges

• Levees

• Large weirs with fishways

• Hydrometric stations

• Small regulars, fishways and earthworks

The Acceleration Projects are in different phases within their lifecycle. Planning approvals are currently on critical path for the program, design is well progressed, a procurement packaging strategy has been developed and construct only tenders are starting to be released to the market
