Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water / Outer Plaza Precinct - Contract Package 1 - C2007.011

The construction of the Outer Plaza Precinct - Contract Package 1 incorporates:
- The formal entrance for those arriving by car, taxi or bus;
- Public and Staff Car Parking and Coach parking;
- STA bus drop-off and turn around.


In general the Works involve the following elements:
- The construction of a concrete (post tensioned) car park structure which is naturally ventillated;
- A dedicated at-grade staff carpark with additional landscaping between Taronga Zoo and Whiting Beach Road;
- New coach parking situated in the existing staff carpark which is accessed from Whiting Beach Road;
- New bus bay including STA bus drop off and pick up area as well as a layover bay on the eastern side of Bradleys Head Road.

Pre-Qualified / Invited - Only those directly invited to tender, may obtain an RFT for the purpose of lodging a tender response. Generally an invitation from a pre-qualified register of approved tenderers who have the ability to undertake the particular work or type of work proposed, a limited number of service providers are known to carry out the work or service (or in emergency or other restricted situations). Tenderers have usually been pre-qualified, accredited, or selected for the type of work and financial range. Competitive bids called from a standing offer (panel / period) contracts would also use this type.

Tenderers have been selected through the Department of Commerce's Best Practice Contractor Accreditation Scheme. Only the following tenderers are invited to tender for the Contract:

- Lipman Group Pty Ltd;
- Richard Crookes Constructions Pty Ltd;
- Reed Constructions Australia.

The tender documents will be sent directly to the Tenderers in electronic (compact disc) format.
