Tender Details
The consultant will be required to undertake a Makdisi and Seed (1978) analysis for each of the specified embankments as per the ANCOLD Guidelines for Design of Dams for Earthquake. Following this checks shall be made of the reasonableness of each set of results using the methods described by Swaisgood (1998) and Fell and Pells (2003). Results of the analysis and checks must be documented in a single report. A desktop review of the stability of all intake towers and appurtenant works is required in light of reviewed seismicity for each of the dams.
