Chaffey Dam Augmentation and Safety Upgrade involves increasing the storage capacity of Chaffey Dam to 100GL, and includes raising the Morning Glory spillway  by 6.5 metres, raising the Dam crest by approximately 8 metres, configuring the fuseplug spillway and construction of associated road and bridges to suit the raised full supply level impacted by the raising of the Full Supply Level.

The Four elements of the project are:

1.      Dam Wall raising

2.      Morning Glory Spillway raising

3.      Fuseplug construction

4.      Roads and Bridge construction

A Principal Contractor will be appointed to carry out these works under a GC21 contract. The value of works is anticipated to be approximately $35 million.

The Consultant (under this engagement) shall nominate a construction management team consisting of:

·         Principal’s Authorised Person’s Delegate (PAPD) - Full time on Site

·         Surveillance Officer – Full time

·         Assistant to PAPD – Part-time 60 weeks

·         Support Services (Technical, Contractual, Administration, office support etc).

·         Environmental & WHS inspections and audits on a quarterly basis

The Principal’s Authorised Person (PAP) is the Project Manager – Chaffey Dam Upgrade, and the PAPD will be delegated some of the Principal’s responsibility under the GC21 contract.
