Tender Details

The Work under the Contract comprises the following activities, as detailed in the Drawings and Specifications:

·       Installation of temporary fencing around the work area.

·       Design and construction of the access/ haul roads to the Works area, and other temporary Works required to undertake the Works and to comply with WHS, environmental and quality requirements. 

·       Clearing, grubbing and stripping topsoil from the Works area.

·       Excavation of the auxiliary spillway channel. This will involve excavation of overburden soils, extremely weathered to slightly weathered meta-siltstones and meta-sandstones by mechanical means and blasting (if required).

·       Hauling and depositing excavated material to nearby stockpiles and spoil disposal areas, including formation and final shaping of the spoil disposal areas.

·       Stabilisation of the auxiliary spillway channel cut slopes including rock bolting and shotcrete where required.

·       Placement of geotextile and rockfill on the spillway floor in the location of an extremely weathered shear zone to provide additional erosion protection.

·       Design and construction of permanent unsealed access roads for long-term inspection and maintenance of the auxiliary spillway and other ancillary items.

·       Provision of environmental control measures during construction.

·       Provision of environmental offsets in accordance with the REF.

·       Supply and installation of permanent security fencing and signage.

Provision of permanent site drainage, safety bunds, site cleanup, landscaping, revegetation and disestablishment of all temporary facilities, and removal of construction debris/waste on completion.

·      Attendance by tenderers at the pre-tender meeting is mandatory. Tenders submitted by the tenderers who fail to attend will be passed over. The pre-tendering meeting is scheduled on Wednesday 6th November, 2013 at 11.00am at Burrendong Dam Site Mumbil. The general & PPE requirements:

    • Photo-identification card
    • Construction - General Induction Card
    • Safety Shoes
    • Long sleeve shirt and pants
    • Four-wheel drive
