It is proposed to install filter drainage works at Hume Dam. The works comprise the installation of about 120 overlapping secant drilled caisson holes which will be backfilled with filter and drainage materials. The secant holes will be configured such that a multistage filter drainage system will be formed downstream of the tower block/core wall connection. This will comprise a central vertical drainage curtain sandwiched between two vertical filter curtains.
