Tenders are invited from Contractors prequalified at Roadworks Class R5 or higher for the realignment of existing Barton Highway at Capricorn Corner 28.126km to 29.146km north of Canberra.
A pre-tender meeting will be held at 11.30am on Wednesday 22 July 2009 at the Murrumbateman Country Inn, Barton Highway, Murrumbateman. Attendance at the meeting is mandatory in order to submit a conforming tender.
All Tenderers must comply with the NSW Government’s Code of Practice for Procurement. The National Code of Practice for the Construction Industry, in accordance with the Australian Government Implementation Guidelines for the National Code of Practice for the Construction Industry, revised September 2005 and reissued June 2006, also apply to the project.

Conditions for Participation
The earthworks and drainage components of the work must be carried out by contractors registered with the RTA in Class E or D respectively or prequalified for roadworks.
The traffic control component of the work must be carried out by contractors registered with the RTA in Class G.
