Transport for NSW (Transport Infrastructure Projects) / The NSW Retrofit Progam For Diesel Vehicle Emission Reduction - RTA.08.2828.2519

The NSW Retrofit Program involves the supply and installation of suitable exhaust after treatment retrofit devices into a wide range of fleets operating in Sydney's GMR (Greater Metropolitan Region). 

The purpose of the NSW Retrofit Program is to minimise diesel exhaust particulates of generally older (and therefore higher polluting) heavy vehicles.

The NSW Retrofit Program has been operational for approximately two years. Over 370 vehicles from a range of fleets have participated in the program to date. The supply and installation of retrofit devices has been through a two year contract panel deed which has now expired. 

A new panel deed is required and is the purpose of this tender. The new panel deed will run for 2 years (with a further 1 year option for the RTA to extend).  Successful proponents will be required to enter into an agreement for the provision of services and form part of the RTA’s panel of suppliers for these services.  The RTA requires suppliers to provide the services within the Sydney GMR.

The suppliers' services include the supply & fit of "devices" which are installed in the exhaust system of diesel powered heavy vehicles. 

The RTA is currently implementing the NSW Diesel Retrofit Phase 4 program which is a co-contribution program where the vehicle operator and the RTA both contribute to the cost of the device. 

All tenderers must comply with the NSW Government Code of Practice for Procurement.
