Transport for NSW (Transport Infrastructure Projects) / Authorised Inspection Station Training Scheme - RTA.09.2115.1655

This is a Quality Assurance contract.

The RTA has accredited various inspection stations as part of what is known as the Authorised Inspection Station (AIS) scheme. AIS are privately owned garages and workshops accredited by the RTA to conduct motor vehicle inspections. Each AIS must have an authorised examiner. A criterion for accreditation as an examiner is that the person must successfully complete the relevant industry-training course.
There are industry training courses currently in place based upon syllabus developed by the RTA. The RTA generally does not deliver that training, instead arranging with an independent training provider to provide the training courses directly to participants.  This tender seeks proposals to provide these training services across NSW.

All tenderers must comply with the NSW Government Code of Practice for Procurement.

Request for Proposals - An invitation for expressions of interest / seeking preliminary proposals. In many cases these may be used as a basis for shortlisting tenderers, along with other criteria such as expertise and experience. Prospective tenderers are initially evaluated for their proposal against the relevant selection criteria. A number of those who best meet the criteria are invited to tender. For complex or some other types of procurement, where the product or service outcomes are highly dependent on the content of the proposals received from Tenderers, the outcome may be negotiated.
