This is a State Funded Project.
Tenderers must comply with the NSW Government’s Code of Practice for Procurement.
Tenders are invited from contractors pre-qualified at Roadworks Class R80, or higher, for the construction of the Third Hunter River Crossing at Maitland. The work consists of all activities associated with the construction of approximately 5.5km of roadworks, a bridge over Hunter River and the design and construction of a bridge over the Main Northern Railway.
A pre-tender meeting, including a site inspection, will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday 15 January 2009 at the East Maitland Bowling Club, Banks Street, East Maitland. Attendance is mandatory to submit a conforming tender.
The final Information Documents will be available prior to Christmas 2008. Please note that final Documents will be supplied in electronic format on CD.

Conditions for Participation
The Bridgework component of the work must be carried out by contractors pre-qualified with the RTA to Class B20 or higher.
The Asphalt Paving component of the work must be carried out by contractors pre-qualified with the RTA to Class A2 or higher.
The Pretensioned concrete component of the work must be carried out by contractors pre-qualified with the RTA to Class CC.
The earthworks and drainage components of the work must be carried out by contractors registered with the RTA in Class E or D respectively or prequalified for roadworks.
The erection of formwork for bridges must be carried out by contractors registered with the RTA in Class F or prequalified for bridgework.
The primary testing of the work (including sampling) must be carried out by contractors registered with the RTA in Class L2.
The traffic control component of the work must be carried out by contractors registered with the RTA in Class G.
Estimated Timeframe for Delivery
The Contract Duration is 104 weeks.
