Tender Details

Transport for NSW (TfNSW) advises that it intends to issue a Request for Tender (RFT) during November 2023 for the upcoming Port Macquarie South Breakwall Repair Project. The intention is to award this in Q1 2024 with a view to the successful proponent commencing works on site in March 2024 subject to evaluation.

A basic outline of scope includes but is not limited to the following:

  • Site establishment works including prework housing condition reports.
  • Rock haulage from TfNSW Stockpile at John Fraser Place to the site.
  • Tree removal (approx. 20 Norkfolk pines)
  • Rock placement on Breakwall (as per design).
  • Concrete footpath rehabilitation and widening.
  • Staircases & access ramps.
  • Retaining Walls.
  • Safety fencing.
  • Solar lighting on the shared footpath.
  • New seating areas & viewing platforms.
  • Landscaping installation and maintenance.
  • Site disestablishment works including post-work housing condition reports.

Additional Details / Instructions

TfNSW has undertaken pre-project procurement to secure all the necessary rock for the Breakwall repair works. Furthermore, in addition to procuring the required rock, TfNSW will have procured the replacement Norfolk Pines. It is important to note that the responsibility for all additional materials and the installation of these elements has been assigned to the Contractor.

The intention is to release this RFT during November, closing prior to the Christmas holiday period. It is expected that the review of submissions will commence from 08 January 2024 with any Requests for Information (RFI) being issued to respondents shortly after.
