Wyong Shire Council through the Estuary Management Unit is implementing the Tuggerah Lakes Estuary Management Plan. The Plan proposes to undertake several projects for the next five years within the Lake’s catchment, enabling the improvement of the water quality conditions and foreshore ecology in Tuggerah Lake, Budgewoi Lake and Lake Munmorah and upgrading of the amenities surrounding the Lakes amongst others.

As part of this Plan, stormwater treatment works have been identifies as being required in the following location.

            Reach 2, Saltwater Creek.
