Wyong Shire Council through the Estuary Management Unit is implementing the Tuggerah Lakes Estuary Management Plan. The Plan proposes to undertake several projects for the next five years within the Lake’s catchment, enabling the improvement of the water quality conditions and foreshore ecology in Tuggerah Lake, Budgewoi Lake and Lake Munmorah.
As part of this Plan, it is proposed to undertake the construction of a new gross pollutant trap and wetland adjacent to an exiting stormwater channel in Charmhaven.
