Central Coast Council / Hire of Casual Labour - CPA/150508

Wyong Shire Council is seeking tenders from potential Suppliers for casual labour hire on Council work sites. The Contract will operate for initial period of 12 months from date of acceptance by the Principal. Two (2) optional extensions for two discrete periods of twelve (12) months may be invoked by the Principal.

The scope of services covered by this Tender comprises various classifications of labour that may be required by Council on a temporary or casual basis. Work sites may be located throughout Wyong Shire. It is expected that casual labour will be hired for periods generally not exceeding 2 weeks.

Labour classifications cover general labour, specialist traffic controller,specialist traffic control crew with appropriate vehicle and signage, mechanic, boilermaker welder, fitter, electrician, plumber/gasfitter, carpenter, bricklayer, ceramic tiler, plasterer/renderer, concreter, painter, gardener, cleaner, mechanical trade and other assistance.

Based on Tenders received from accepted Suppliers, Council intends to prepare a Priority Schedule for each classification of labour which will then be used for individual hire purposes.

When work is available, Suppliers will be contracted in order of assessed priority at which time details of location, expected duration and other specific requirements will be advised. If the Supplier is unable to provide the labour required, the next supplier on the priority list will be contacted to supply the appropriate labour.
