Tender Details
Tenders are sought for a Managing Contractor who will be responsible to NSW Maritime for the detailed design, upgrade or construction, and maintenance of a package of up to 12 commuter wharves. The Managing Contractor will be responsible for procuring a range of works to commuter wharves including: · detailed design of each individual wharf utilising the services of the appointed architectural consultants; · the refurbishment, repair and in some instances complete rebuilding of wharves; · the provision of new components such as shelters, public access platforms and concession facilities such as for cafes; and, · associated maintenance undertakings. Central to this upgrade is a design solution that achieves a high standard of functionality, improves commuter amenity, has regard to the aesthetic appeal of Sydney's iconic wharves in keeping with their surrounds. New wharves will provide for a wider range of access, and have greater uniformity and identity. The tenderer will be required to provide a comprehensive financial proposal, including efficiency incentives for cost effective and innovative solutions, and timely project delivery. The successful tenderer will be able to demonstrate success in managing contractor roles, including the investigation, design and construction process across multiple sites.
