Customer Service / South Coast Correctional Centre - 500 Bed Project: - 0701594

The works comprise the design (to the extent specified) and construction (including testing and commissioning) of the new South Coast Correctional Centre. This is a new 500 bed regional facility to be built at South Nowra.
The Works include the provision of the following:

"Inmate accommodation

"Areas for inmate education, employment and recreation

Gatehouse and Reception

"Administration areas

"Staff and Visitor facilities

"Kitchen and Stores

"Laundry

"Clinic

"Transport Response Unit

"External works

"Security fences

"Fully monitored electronic security system

Maintenance comprises Facilities Maintenance, as specified, of the Correctional Centre to achieve the purposes and to the extent specified in the Contract after Completion of the whole of the Works, in liaison with the Department of Corrective Services staff that will occupy and use the Centre for its intended purpose, during the Facilities Maintenance Period and the Run Out Period.
