Demolition
Remove existing coat hooks and timber battens and relocate to location nominated by School. Remove existing door into Room No. HR0001 and store for reuse. Remove existing timber framed window opposite the stairs to the verandah. Remove section of brickwork below window to create new entry door to Room No. HR0001.
New Construction
Frame up the existing door opening and over sheet with FC sheet to close off the opening. Provide new door frame to opening created by window removal, complete with fanlight window above the door. Re install existing door leaf and associated door hardware to new door frame. Provide security screen door to open out. Match screen door type and colour to the existing screen door to the adjacent classroom.
Construct new wall to close in verandah and create new bathroom.
Construct new doorway to allow for a minimum 850mm clear opening. Supply and fix new rebated pressed steel doorframe to the new opening. Supply new solid core, external paint grade, timber door. Hang door to swing out. Fix door with new stainless steel hinges. Supply and fix new satin chrome door hardware, lever handle, indicator bolt, push plates and new lock mechanism equal to Lockwood dead latch type. Fix new weather strip protector to the bottom of the new door to prevent water and leaves from entering under the door. Key locks to the schools existing master key system. Batten off existing brickwork walls & line with 6mm compressed fibre cement sheeting to allow all new services to run within wall cavity.
